    CLOSED Damascus Bar Stock

depends on pattern and thickness and quantity. On Etsy I have them between $51 and $68 a bar (including shipping) but here about $45 to $60. Considering shipping is a part of that and 2 bars ship about like 1 I can probably knock $8 off each additional bar. So 3mm ladder, the least expensive...

    CLOSED Damascus Bar Stock

Funny I am old enough to remember when Japanese products had a reoutation as being junk and "made in Japan" was considered shoddy. Now made in Japan is a sign of quality. It all depends on the maker

    CLOSED Damascus Bar Stock

I have 2" x 10" bars in 3mm and 5mm thickness. Forged in Pakistan from 1095C & 15N20 soft annealed I know some people don't trust Paki damascus but this is good stuff and I offer a money back guarantee. In fact as I am trying to establish our reputation if you try some and it doesn't harden or...

    CLOSED Bowie Knives For Sale

This is one of our Etsy reviews the buyer bought the Dogbone Bowie in the first picture above. I try to be above board and honest and not put a gloss on things "The knife met visual expectations. Solid construction throughout. A bit heavy on the hilt side with the scale pins raised slightly...

    CLOSED Bowie Knives For Sale

I have been working with a maker in Pakistan to forge historical Bowie knives. I know people make fun of Paki knives but it is like anything else you can get junk or quality and he makes a quality knife. We sell on Etsy and eBay but they charge like crazy and I can do a lot better pricing here...

    Anyone Mod Their Walkers?

Why not? As far as I know no one else had done it. We were kicking around the idea of a longer cylinder in a navy and this is about 1” longer and with the bottleneck sleeve holds around 55 grains of powder in the cylinder and a 380 round ball. Even with the 9” barrel I can’t say it all burns...

    Anyone Mod Their Walkers?

    I converted mine to 36 caliber I suppose that’s a mod

    Original style crossbows?

Kind of odd really because they allow muzzleloading contemporary weapons like knives and tomahawks but not archery equipment from the same time period What I always wanted to make were the wooden crossbows using muzzleloading style stocks from about the civil war era

    Handgonne Arrows

So do we know if the fletching went in the barrel? Maybe wrapped around the shaft?

    Handgonne Arrows

    Cool thanks

    Handgonne Arrows

One other thing I was wondering about does the arrow shaft go all the way down the barrel to the powder charge? Seems like leaving an air space between powder and shaft might not be healthy

    Handgonne Arrows

Were the arrows used in the socket type handgonne's (see attached pic for example) or only the earlier vase type? Are there any contemporary paintings showing the socket type with arrows?

    Handgonne Accessories

Tried typing drival but of course spell check changed it to drivel
  16. J

    Handgonne Accessories

what the heck is a drivel?
  17. J

    Handgonne

Just a mock-up in plastic having the casting done next
  18. J

    Handgonne

So looking down on it from the top is it "Y" shaped to hold the match?
  19. J

    Handgonne

Exactly like that Funny I came across pics of yours yesterday and was looking to duplicate the serpentine for my little one. Looks like it runs through the center of the stock

    Handgonne

One thing I also like is scale miniature arms - guns - knives - archery equipment - so I decided to have this one cast in bronze - bore is about .18 so it will shoot a .177 lead BB with a few grains of powder. Having it cast now. Was going to do a scale Tannenberg next
