    Belly Box

Nice. Personally I'd have to make one that sat on my chest. A lot of belly to reach under to get to it.

    Grandpa stories

My maternal grandfather passed when I was so young I have no memory of him. He served in WW1, buried by shell explosion and gassed. Best story about him was the one time he drove a car. Horseman through and through. Went with my uncle to the train station when he joined the military. Drove...

    Weighing round balls

In my opinion, better to cull anything that is outside of your tolerance from the heaviest ball. Minimize voids. Might end up with a much higher rejection rate but more consistency, in my humble opinion.

Fast Twists Smaller Than Forty Bore?

Interesting concept, 1 in 30 might be viewed as a slower twist relative to caliber in a .32. But I think it would still act the same as in a large caliber. Looking forward to any trials and reports from people who've worked with it.

    Changing Powder charges on woodswalk.

Strikes me that changing either charge or holdover requires accurate knowledge of the range. I've got a Lyman 57 on my TC that I've set up so I can easily change between two ranges. Factory sight is set up for a third, just pop the peep off if needed. If a different target range is needed...

When Do You Use Your Vent Pick?

When needed while shooting and whenever food gets caught between my teeth.

Travel and hunting Bears in BC, Canada from Aussie.

Rustywood is located in Mission, not a real far drive in terms of distance. Currently showing Schuetzen and some Swiss in stock as well as Pyrodex. And some caps. BUT.....it appears you must produce the Canadian Possession and Acquisition License to purchase. With that information; perhaps...

Anyone here own exclusively muzzle loading firearms?

I don't exclusively own muzzleloading firearms but I own firearms that are exclusively muzzleloading.

So here you are. Fer the peace of the world don't be making any highly contentious statements like preferring swaged round balls over cast or asking what's the best lube. It'll turn into one of those movie scenes where the fireworks factory catches fire. A more contrary collection of...

I'll sometimes fire up Google Earth and use the measuring function. That does require static conditions.

Any hunter shooters in NE Alberta

No doubt there are traditional shooters in your neck of the woods, just gotta locate them. Another forum I'm on the subject of muzzleloader hunting came up, almost everyone was talking modern with sabots and such. Didn't say anything but was thinking that folks who want to reach out to 200 or...
