Final range tune-up for Turkey season today

You're able to shoot a single round ball out a smoothbore and still be legal? That's pretty cool. According to the laws here in South Carolina, concerning deer hunting with my 28g, it's illegal but every time I talk to the DNR they say it's ok until I show them the book. Wonder how much...

Range report - .28ga smoothbore Flintlock

Idiots !!!! Just got off the phone with the SC DNR and they told me that you have to use shot smaller that #4..... I told him it wasn't the regulations and he said he knows, but that's just the rules. Then.... I just found out that I can't hunt with a 28g smoothbore during muzzleloading...

Who are the top 5 muzzleloading builders in the U.S.?

Ron made that gun and I believe it's a 40cal smoothbore and was miss-named "the pitchfork" rifle because people thought the side-slapper was made from a pitchfork. Truth be told it was actually made from the truck mechanism of a Datsun B-210 hatchback. But Ron was never one to let the truth get...

    Verner flintlock

Well, I had to make a Mandrel (I think that's the right word) to actually bend the brass, then mate it to a thimble, inlet it... it was just a chore. I honest dislike HATE building rifle, but for some reason I always find myself being drawn back to the bench. Roy will tell you that when I talk...
