    A friend that owns a local gun shop picked this up Saturday at a gun show. It has a very heavy barrel and he said it was a smooth bore .40 cal. I took some pictures at lunch and I thought I would try to find out any info I could on the markings. Thanks Robert

    I got to go squirrel hunting at our hill farm this weekend and try out my new .40 poorboy and it just so happened to be my Birthday. The place is ran over with squirrel and they have wrecked havoc on our Banks deer feeders. The weather was perfect, nice and cool. So I setup about 20-25 yards...

    A quick range trip yesterday afternoon with fair results so far. My starting point was 35gr of ffg .389" cast lead round ball with .018" pillow thicking spit patch. I was shooting off hand at 35 yards.
