    Home made wads

I make wads out of durafelt 1/4" hard wool felt and then soak it in melted lube. Overshot cards I punch out from 12 pack soda boxes, cereal boxes etc.

    Trapper Pistol

I agree. I'd take it and the trigger guard spur both off.

    Question On Dixie Rifle

Believe it or not, that's how I prefer to load anyway.

still havn't yanked the trigger yet

Why not buy a Lyman Great Plains flintlock gun to start with? A lot cheaper than a TVM and if you like flinters you can upgrade later. https://www.trackofthewolf.com/List/Item.aspx/487/2

    Flintlock pistol and rifle set

You could always get a Tennessee rifle and pistol from TVM and assemble and finish them the same way.

    Traditions Pennsylvania rifle

Best option yet. I intend to do that with the wife's CVA Frontier carbine ( made by the same Spanish company). Should be easy enough to put a slight warp in the existing ramrod.

    1816 Rear Sight

track of the Wolf has a chisel for cutting a shallow dovetail to install a rear sight . I used it and their recommended RS-AM-14 rear sight on my Chief's grade trade gun. I cut my groups in half. https://www.trackofthewolf.com/Categories/PartDetail.aspx/876/1/TOOL-DOVETAIL

    ? about rear sight.

A V notch with a thin blade front.

    Your choice of flints

I've always gotten excellent flints from Stonewall Creek Outfitters. I prefer French amber but their black English are nice too. All have been nice and flat on top with out any "humped" ones. http://www.stonewallcreekoutfitters.com/flints/

    Traditions Tennessee rifle

Hmm. Makes it even more desirable.

    Traditions Tennessee rifle

I like the looks of them. Does it have a patent breech or is it direct drilled?

    TVM Fowler

I've always liked the look of your fowler Hanshi. I like the idea of a rear sight on a smoothbore and I just added one to my trade gun. Cut my groups in half. I now shoot groups at 50 yards that I used to get at 30.

    New Gun Monday

They don't come in a lefty though, do they? I'd be interested otherwise.

    Cap Debris In My Wrist

This is something a lot of lefties who shoot right handed guns encounter. Why I always wear long sleeves when shooting a cap gun. There's always a few sparks that will fly downward and hit your wrist.

    Felt Discs

Now there's an idea for a hat that let's the breeze cool off your head on a hot day!

Do LH Shooters Use RH Flint KY Pistols ?

While not technically a "Kentucky" my English style belt pistol is a right handed flinter and as a lefty it actually seems a better choice in a pistol than a left handed lock one. Reasons why are that I can cock the pistol with my right easily while holding it gripped in my dominate hand, and...

    Ramrods

I recently replaced the one on my belt pistol after loosing the original while out hunting. I used a Walnut stain and then a few coats of Tru-oil. I figure sealing it with Tru-oil will keep it from swelling in the thimbles with moisture on a wet day in the field.

    Barrel length

That is one thing that I notice is that anything longer than the 36" barrel of my trade gun will have a hard time fitting into my truck cab or my jeep Wrangler.
