SOLD NIB Pedersoli Dixie Cub Scout .32.

Richard, I am not computer literate, but I have replied twice, but it seems you are not receiving them. Please let me know if these come through. I also tried to enter into the ad "Sold pending funds" but that didnt work either.

SOLD NIB Pedersoli Dixie Cub Scout .32.

Soon after I bought this rifle in May I was diagnosed with a serious health issue, and I lost interest in shooting and hunting. This gun is unfired and the flint has not been dropped on the frizzen. The rifle was on sale at Dixie for $650 plus shipping. The price at Dixie is now $795 plus...

    Squirrel hunters

It has been interesting reading all the posts about squirrels. As a kid growing up in the eastern panhandle of West-by-God, I had a keen passion for hunting them. Every chance I had I would grab my 22lr and head for the woods, which were just several hundred yards behind the house. It is...

Crow Beads, Tell me about the one occasion you shot it. Lots of sparks? Fast ignition? Trigger heavy/creepy? etc.

anyone make a peep/ghost ring to fit your flintlock

Wow! Now that is a rust brown finish. Looks like it was left out behind the barn for about 10 years. I like it.

    Tennessee bean rifle

In response to Broken Rod "Sorta plain wood" you say? I'd be tickled pink. Eye of the beholder! You done good.

    First time out

I hope to rekindle this thread a bit. I have been looking for opinions about the Pedersoli Kentucky rifle, but so far not much luck. I would like to get a reliable, accurate flintlock rifle for squirrels, and Pedersoli offers their Kentucky and Scout rifles in .32 and .36 through Dixie Gun...

    T/C New Englander 50 cal

Daniel, Welcome to the sight. I used to have a TC New Englander, and yes, it is one of those that I should never have sold. A simple, no-nonsense rifle, it performed well for me. If you are wed to the conical, perhaps I cant help you. All my shooting was with the PRB, pushed by 80gr of FFG...

    Civil war muskets

I too have thought from time to time about buying a CW musket, preferably a musketoon for easy carrying in the brush. If memory serves, the muskets come with 3, 5, and 7 groove rifling, and maybe even others that I am not aware of. If anyone out there is knowledgeable on this matter, I would...

    skirmishers

Rob, Very impressive groups you get with that rifle, and a nice looking rifle it is. What would one have to pay for one of those? Dang it, Rob, I dont need another rifle. However...

    New TC Renegade 54 cal

If, as you say, the rifle is in new condition, $300, maybe a bit more, would be fair to him and you. Dont ruin a good friendship over a few $. You can get Renegades for much less but generally they will be far from new condition.

    Minimum load for .54 GPR

Bob, Several years back I bought a used GPR that had an abused barrel, so I bought a new .54 barrel. Right out of the box it shot 2" at 50yd from the bench, using 70-80gr FFg. Of course, each barrel is an individual and your experience may vary considerably. I would think 50 gr should work...

    My story..

Many here travel the trail that you have taken up, and many more will come. Your well-written piece gave me pause to reflect, yet again, on the good fortune I have to walk that path. Thank you, sir.

    new stock has arrived

Looks for all the world like a stock from a Renegade Hunter, from the treatment at the comb to the rubber butt pad. Of course, that should matter none at all, and it should be a good stock for you.

    Seed Tick Rifle

A great looking rifle, with some interesting history built into it.

get on paper at 25 yardsSights on a Lyman ifle

One thing you may try is the oft recommmended procedure of placing your target at 13 yards. This should keep all your shots on the paper. Once you have your rifle zeroed in at this distance you should be hitting 1" high at 50 yards, dead on at 75 and 1" low at 100 yards. Your trajectory will...
