    Hi Thanks for the input guys :) I have segregated this batch of lead and am going to try again with the first batch and see if the results are the same! If the next lot come out like my first I will probably just scrap the bad lead! Rick

    Hi All Thanks guys :) that's what I thought as well! I think im going to scrap the ingots I cast from this batch and what you see in the pics! Im going to use the balls as iv cast them now and see how they go! Most are 4-5gns lighter than my first batch so shouldn't be to far off the mark...

    fuze hole size?

    Hi On my cannon I went with a 2.5mm hole! as the fuse I use is, Visco fuse slow 2mm! which gives plenty of clearance so I don't have to un block the hole that often :) I use a standard 2.5mm drill to un block the hole as and when necessary! Rick

    Hi Thanks :) The last couple of times I rinsed the gel off with hot tap water, which helped dry it out before the next coat :) The tuf glide oil I use works perfectly in protecting and lubricating my firearms :) Rick

    Hi Thanks guys :) I used Abbey gun solutions, Blu Gel! Its a cold blueing method! The bottle says apply a little Abbey blu gel with a clean cloth, leave for 30 seconds and rinse off with cold water! It took me longer than 30 seconds to coat the whole cannon! and the first layer wasn't great...

    Hi all Iv re weighed the balls I cast from my jeff tanner mould and here are the results from the 50 I weighed! Scales are Frankford Arsenal DS-750 Electronic Powder Scale.
