Cleaning patch stuck at breach end.
Yeah , put a worn on the R.R. and pull here out , or try the brush ... Should do it . Back in the first year I had to get wire at the hardware , bend a very short 90 on the end , straighten the wire then push it to the breech , twisting it round and pull it out ....best of luck- Rob M.

Bare balls with jug choke?
Try it !! Ive had barrels that threw the naked round ball to the same accuracy as a patched ball ! ... So I never patched a ball again with that barrel . FYI ...patched round ball is usually more accurate but ...ya just never know till ya try ... every barrel is different- Rob M.

.... Just add a rear sight ...its not difficult to do , or have someone put it on for you if you dont want to do.it . I love a rear sight on smoothbore ...really extends its range and accuracy- Rob M.

How do you prime?
Those are neat . Ive never used them much but last December , Ken Netting sent me one real similar to these . He made it and sent it as a birthday / Christmas present for me ...darn nice of him....its really neat . See if I can find a pic ...- Rob M.

OLD original barrels - what to build?
Very cool thread ....very interesting . Ken Netting gave me an original Oct. to round 20 ga. , 36" barrel .... Let's see ....think Id like to make , uhmmm .....a N.W. trade gun !!! LOL !! ... Oh yeah , all are N.W. trade gun side plates . Unfortunately He broke off the ends , rear , and I can identify some makers by the shape of the rear finial ... Couple Belgium's on top it appears ...I'd guess 1850s- Rob M.

How you clean pan & frizzen?
Yeah , exactly. Everyone's got a different routine but so nice to have some tools or material hanging right there ...and can be later just tucked back in your pouch . .. . I have a long piece of cloth hanging down for patching hung there too but many times will use it for a quick wipe of the...- Rob M.
