    Lee,Lyman,or RCBS which mold?

I use lee, I buy both sizes 5 and 10 under bore size that way I always will have a patch combo to fit. Two moulds 45 bucks that's half of the price of the other two and do the same job. My center fire is all lyman or rcbs they are better moulds.

    D M Dolliver

Just fixed a problem like this, removed plug and vent. Plug had a trench ground in it to try to get to the vent didn't even line up. Put barrel in miller with plug back in and bored through vent to cut a channel in plug face, new vent installed no more misfires and fast. The org builder didn't...

Send it to Bob Hoyt and have him sleeve it to 54 cal, no refitting a new barrel, just put back in the stock and go shoot.

see if you can get what you need at a gun shop, contender sights are the same.

    testing Skychief's special load

I think that the heavy wad up front keeps the shot in a clump and does not allow the shot to rattle down the bore with nothing to slow it down.
