    How tight should a conical be ?

    Started working on a load for my 54 t/c newenglander. 530 prb and some 380 real conicals. the conicals shoot well but I have to start them with a hammer and short starter they are so tight. The top land is .555 so .15 thousands over bore size. I would think soft lead would be easier to load but...

    greenhorn got a bullet mold

    Title sais it all, I just got a lee 380 gr. connical mold for these big elk and am doing my 1st attempt very soon. All I know is you gotta clean,smoke and preheat the mold. Sounds to easy thats what scares me..Any advice form you old pros would be great..Oh yeah what kind of bullet lube ?? :idunno:

    RMC "V" peep sight ?

    Nowhere can I find a peep sight for the t/c Newenglander, the t/c #7197 tang peep is no longer made. Found RMC "V" peep sight for it, anyone try one of these. the factory sights are no good for my 50 year old eyes past 50 yards. My marlin 30-30 has peeps and work great for me so peeps I want for...

    Wet side of Washington state

    hello from the rain belt, I have recently aquired my first smoke pole. A a T/C newenglander left-hand percussion.54cal.Found this site on a search, looks like a good place. I`m retired Army and an avid shooter,reloader and bow hunter.Got the T/C to try something new.
