    What did you do today

Went to the gym, increasing bike time to 45 minutes at level 3, "rolling hills." Barely broke a sweat so might increase "intensity" to Level 4 on Wednesday. Might hold off till Friday as I like to take things slow. Made new friends at the gym. Staples would not scan items if I didn't have a...

    What did you do today

Cooked breakfast, read the paper, vacuumed, read part of a book, goofed off online.

I recall a thread about Paypal use.......update on that.

I am not going to lie and use "Friends and Family." I also won't use Paypal for anything firearms. I'm not risking it nor do I like supporting those that hate me. I take checks with my business, most into the 4 digits. Anything I buy or sale here can be check, money order, or certified...

    What did you do today

(Yesterday) Got up early, cooked eggs, buttered wheat bread, had a banana. Did some linen wash. Watched "Emergency" and one episode of "Highway to Heaven." Great shows! Called a ski resort in WV and checked on a hotel in Vermont. Not looking good for skiing right now. Might have to take the...

And the bartender asked, why the long......barrel?

What more interesting is how long those long barrels stayed in use! 29 inch barreled rifles were common among the world's militaries until the 1930's.

I recall a thread about Paypal use.......update on that.

I recall use discussion how "Paypal was fine for gun parts." Several disagreed when I pointed out their past bans on such. Well, guess what? This is a direct quote from a gentleman on another forum. " So, I am sure most of you know about eBay and PayPal's anti gun policy of 10 years ago, I...

    What did you do today

Got up on a tall step ladder (10 footer) and used a power trimmer to trim dad's tree back while he held the ladder. I had lunch while watching my favorite show, "Emergency" (yes the one from the '70's). I then ran some errands, paid a bill, etc. I finished the day by taking a nap, watching some...

    Vermont Black Powder Firearm Laws

VT used to have some of the best pro 2A laws in the Nation. Fixed it for you. Mag capacity limit and red flag laws would keep me out of there. I think some 20 US states now have Constitutional Carry.

    Preparation H

Would Preparation H help ease the loading process or is that KY Jelly I'm thinking of? :p

Where do you store your powder?

Thanks man but your "exploding punchlines" is better than what I came up with. The short of it is, some people take things way too seriously! LOL

Where do you store your powder?

His point, at least to me, was a joke about reading directions. Most men don't read them.....they should of course.....but most don't.

Where do you store your powder?

If I recall correctly, it's to the effect, "store in original container?" I keep mine in a cool, dry place. Funny story: as late as the 1980's local coal mines were fairly lax on their powder (AKA dynamite). Miners could and did bring home excess to clear stumps and rocks from their yards. A...

Where do you store your powder?

Some of my training is in chemistry and black powder is definitely not an "explosive." For a material to be "explosive" it must be able to do as much damage unsealed as it can sealed (in a tight container). Unsealed, black powder goes up in a whoosh and one can literally, stand next to it...

    Preparation H

Can't speak from experience but some guys pay extra for that kind of action. :p

    Burned by USPS

Try speaking with the postmaster and if needed, try your state's attorney general. When people without much IQ get into positions of power, this is the usual result.

Where do you store your powder?

Seeing as black powder is not an "explosive" I don't think it's insane to keep it in the house.

USPS and Track of the Wolf

Anytime I buy anything that has to be shipped, I opt for insurance. Any long gun or stock I buy I ask the seller to put it into a plastic hard case which I offer to pay for. Auto body panels must be shipped in a wooden crate....I learned that one the hard way when UPS badly dented an original...

    Lee REAL bullets

The joke on scales reminded me of something......some time ago I taught a college chemistry class at a new school whose lab had no equipment. So I drove over to a sister school and picked up whatever glassware, equipment, and scales they could spare. So I'm headed back with a car load full...

The correct term is "unlicensed pharmaceutical dispensing." :)

How Long Have You Been Hunting ...

The most important right is that of self defense. It is the laws of Mexico that empower the cartels....the people should rise up and correct that situation. Once a person had been deemed safe enough to be out of prison, they are safe enough to exercise all of their rights. If they weren't...
