    powder charge for deer

    i shoot a lyman 50 cal trade rifle and using 85 grs of 2f. this is a accurate load out to 75 yards for me. is this enough powder for a .490 rd to go through a deer? i usually take double lung shots when possible and what would happen if i hit the shoulder?

    my lyman trade rifle came with two manuals. the lyman one says max charge 110grs 2f, 90grs 3f.the investarm manual says 90grs 2f, 70grs 3f. should i go by the lyman or investarm manual? i just bought some 3f and going to shoot this evening and try it out and see how gun likes it.one more...

    how many shots should i take before cleaning the barrel and how should i clean it? im using 2f goex for a 50 cal. im cleaning every 5 shots now and after i clean barrel with a dry patch the next shot is off but the rest are where i aim. should i use a wet patch and if so what liquid? thanks for...

    58 call bullet update

    the .580 bullets came today and i went out and shot them all up :( . good new though, they shot great out to 75 yard but ran out of them before i could try them at 100. thanks to all the comments i received they were a great help!!!! :bow:
