    Rabbit with a Revolver

info on rabbit fever.. Frost killing tularemia is an old wives tale but not all together false. It's a bacteria and is mostly given to humans from the host rodent by inhaling dander from the animal or by inhaling the flea manure on the animal or via blood born pathogen. Treat all rabbits like...

Which would you use in this situation.

Thanks for sharing, Mike. I don't think we could ask for any better than that! What short starter do you like as mine cuts a ring around the actual hollow point? Thanks again for your time. Todd

Which would you use in this situation.

A couple more finish up photos. After some more shooting at 60 yards to confirm I like the bullets, I shot a three shot string at 100 with the maxi-balls to sight in. Point of aim was the center bull, the 4th shot was my last Maxi I took to the range. 80 gr. Goex 2F, Track of the Wolf Maxi-Ball...

Which would you use in this situation.

This is a factory 1:48" Hawken barrel. I do have a T/C 1:66 round ball .54 barrel but its badly pitted (I bought it at a yard sale for $20) and will literally walk two feet in three shots. It shreds patches. Its is going to become a 20 gauge or .58 caliber one of these days. I guess I should...

Which would you use in this situation.

I have hundreds of groups with RBs and have shot several groups with conicals. Obviously im not going to post pictures of all but rest assured this is a good representation of what the rifle is capable of with three shot strings and no hoop jumping. I can get tighter groups with roundballs but...

Which would you use in this situation.

To start this thread I need to first say I have always been a round ball guy. I never shot conicals just because I never thought they bring much more to the killing table than their predecessors. I have a .58 Investarms that shoots RB's great. But this year I decided come hell or high water...

    Small Game Hunting

Using the same gun is still using the same gun. The fit and feel of the trigger break and lock time sight picture and host of other things never change. Shooting a ribbits head at 20 yards would be similar to shooting an elk shoulder at 100. A sling shot loaded with a .54 round ball is still...

    Sling Attachments

If I remember right, mine came with a slightly longer screw... If you are not comfortable, you can go to the hardware and get a longer screw. If you can't find one, get just barely the next size up and a tap for less then $10. Todd

    Sling Attachments

I use this system and my only complaint is when packing the rifle muzzle up, the muzzle feels too close to my head because the lower thimble isn't very far from the muzzle and no doubt if I had an AD, the muzzle blast would burn most of my hair. So I never pack it slung if its capped. Good...

What oil in the bore after cleaning?

You can't use too much when storing your rifle either. Just realize you HAVE to get it dry before shooting. Like mentioned alcohol is good but so is brake-clean/carb cleaner and the like. Good luck, Todd

    Colorado hunt

"Dry" don't do justice to what it is around here this year. We have been getting a little bit of rain here and there and it has really helped but it is still too damn dry. Be carefull and good luck. Todd

    Hunting with your muzzleloader

What has worked well for me is storing muzzle down like others have said and then dry patch clean with several patches. I then run a new patch to the breach then fire a couple caps and pull the patch and make sure I'm getting a good burn on the patch. Good luck in the future. Todd
