    Appreciation of Nature

I have always enjoyed watching nature and the kill is bittersweet as others say, but I like to eat wild, organic , grass raised meat in small quantities for health. I dont like the taste of antler, so dont kill big bucks very often. I do enjoy hunting with flinters and BPCRifles, also handload...

    Steel Shot Question

I have used Bismuth or ITX 10 in a colerain turkey barrel and in a jug choked 11 ga for several years. It kills turkeys, ducks and geese. Expensive...yes but very effective out of a blackpowder gun. Ive used shredded felt wads and paper for shot cups too, mostly in the 11 ga.

    Possibles bag, what confussion

One bag for each gun/rifle works for me too! After several trips without something I forgot to transfer, one bag per gun became cheap insurance.

Old CVA dbl bl shotgun kit

I like your shotgun!! Thank you for responding with pictures. I dont have skills for gun building, but will give this one a try. The stock is poorly carved and the double triggers will need some work to function.

Old CVA dbl bl shotgun kit

I recently was given an old CVA dbl barrel shotgun kit. It had never been worked on near as I can tell. The stock carving and inletting is not good at all. The locks seem to be fine. The double trigger mechanism is low quality. The barrels look heavy enough and the breech plugs look tight...
