    For sale is a nice anitique rifle. Wood is good with no cracks or missing pieces. Metal is all good. Rifle OAL is 57", Barrel is 42" long, 3/4" OD and 1/2" ID, full stock in good condition. Has a nice, slim stock. Name and date added. RIFLE NUMBER 2 HAS BEEN REMOVED FROM THIS LISTING.

    How Often Are "Remington" Marked Barrels Seen On Completed Percussion Rifles?

    I have a percussion rifle with a Remington barrel that I assume was made in the 1850s. It is the only Remington barrel I have seen. However, it's possible that many of them have the Remington name on the bottom of the barrel so it can't be seen.

    Don't be scared to redo the rifle. It's easy to strip the finish and do the woodwork to your liking now. You don't have to leave it "as is".
