    The Hawken rifles of 1836

That's one thing I have found through lots of research, you can never say never, there are references to (India) rubber coats &c. as well as rubber being used on Wagon Tires so it just goes to show the seemingly most unlikely things made it out here. Another thing I have come to find is that...

    The Hawken rifles of 1836

Anyone found any information on the Hawken rifles shipped to rendezvous in 1836? it seems we have no definite proof to show that any full stock flint Hawken rifles were ever produced by Jake and Sam, though a half stock percussion rifle just somehow seems out of place with the paintings of A.J...

    Out of Specification Projectiles

My experience with lyman is that some of their products are great and others are not quite up to standards even though they are the same product i guess it is just luck of the draw.

    linen tow

I have had good luck using sheep's wool and teased hemp rope just a cheaper but primitive alternative.

    haft length

For throwing you want the total length to be as long as your forearm elbow to fist but other than that it is a matter of personal preference.
