    checkering a pistol grip

    I did my 54 and yes it is dificult, I did three diamond patterns one on each side of the grip and one on the rear, 3.5-1 pitch,16 lpi, sorry no photo's, the hardest part is where the grip turns in by the trigger guard it likes to skip a line there. I'm going to do my 50 next, Good luck.

Keep an eye on your patches, my 50 eats patches no matter the charge or patch material,and needed to have an overpowder buffer, I use corn meal.     only problem is the barrel stoves i've used were designed to vent vertically, the pipe connections are loose and any change in direction will cause smoke to back up in the pipe and enter the tent.
