    I'm always trying to learn more about these firearms. wahkahchim said; "I have a 1777 Middlesex Charleville" and Rifleman1776 asked; "Original or repro?" Obviously, Middlesex was not around in 1777, so what did Rifleman1776 mean by that ?

    Yep, gonna give some shredded Cypress a go and will report back with my findings. With respect to Spanish Moss, it does work fine, but needs to be heat / smoke treated over a campfire first, to prevent a really bad Chigger / Redbug infestation. Not pretty at all !!! :surrender:
