FOR SALE Pietta 1861 Police 36 cal

This was the first cap-n-ball pistol I ever purchased. I have had it about 20 years and was my favorite shooter. I have not fired it in close to 15 years, but is still one of my favorites. This has the desirable (at least, to me) 4.5" barrel, which I think is the best of both worlds between the...

SOLD 1851 Navy London 36 caliber

I am not super-motivated to sell this one, but if anyone here is really wanting a London Navy, here is your chance. 1851 Navy London model - I have never fired this gun. I was originally going to have it defarbed, and make it a new cased set, but that never panned out. The Colt London pistols...

    SOLD 1849 Pocket 31 caliber

1849 Pocket in 31 caliber. I am not sure on the brand, but I think it is Uberti. The nipples are silver-ish in color and may be upgraded or replacements. It is in nice shape. I bought it about 3 years ago and I have never fired it. It has mostly just sat in my desk drawer which is the reason...

SOLD Pietta Lemat Revolver - brand new, never fired - Sold Pending Funds

Pietta Lemat Revolver - I bought this a while back and it is one of my favorite BP pistols. I have never fired it because I feel that it is more a work of art. Brand new, in the box, as I received it. I oiled it a few times and took it out of the box to examine it, but that is it. $1325 shipped...

    SOLD 1860 Army Pietta 44

I have not fired this pistol since owning it. It was a fill-in for my collection for a 1860 Army. Nothing special about it other than it is a nice looking pistol. Selling because I am likely to never shoot it. $275 shipped. I money order preferred. Can accept venmo, or personal check shipping...

SOLD Pietta 36 Caliber - 1858 Remington Type - tuned for competition

I bought this a few years back and was told that it was customized and tuned for competition. The trigger does seem quite nice for that purpose. One of the notches on the cylinder is marked with white paint, I assume for competition purposes. I have never fired this pistol during the years that...

SOLD Duckfoot Pistol in 36 caliber (Classic Arms)

For sale is a 3-barrel 36-caliber Duckfoot pistol. I bought this as a project gun, but I have too many projects so I will pass it on to someone who wants to take this one on. I have fired it with caps to make sure that it worked. I have not done any work to this gun since receiving it. I believe...

    stupid question

How do I get the barrel off a colt-type BP revolver? Tried pushing the wedge out on several of my guns, but no luck, and I'm reluctant to force it or start beating on it with a rubber mallet. I'm sorry to admit I've never taken one apart in cleaning after the 30+ shots I've actually fired...

it's 1862, what pistol would you carry?

Was thinking about this... year is 1862, what would you carry? Either to Civil War battlefield, or to the western frontier? Personally I'd carry a Belt Pistol of Naval Caliber (aka 1851 Navy). Seems to me to be best compromise between power and weight, plus availability of parts.

what causes cylinder notch drag marks?

I have an Uberti Walker and noticed "hair-line" drag marks on the cylinder, like something is scratching the cylinder as it turns from notch to notch. So far I only notice it on two of the notches. What causes this and how do I prevent it?
