    45 cal max load?

    What do y’all feel is the safe max load for a 45. Cal T/C and the investarms Hawkens using ffg and 240gr maxi ball? An old T/C chart I have shows 100gr pushing the velocities and energy in the 1700 range for both.

    45 PRB load

    In y'all's opinion what is the maximum ethical effective range of a 45 caliber PRB on Whitetail deer? since I can’t get a T/C maxi ball to group out of my Cherokee and season being only a couple weeks away. I am thinking of switching over to a PRB load to see how it does.

    What are y’all using for lube? I been using T/C bore butter but when it’s hot it melts and gets messy. what are functions the lube serve in the maxi ball grooves?

    I am having trouble getting my T/C 45. caliber Cherokee to group at 50 yards. The barrel is in good condition and I am a ok shot so I am guessing it’s the load.
