    I am trying to brown a Green Mountain barrel. After around ten coats of Laurel Mountain browning solution I am giving up. It is not taking in some areas. I draw filed the barrel and sanded wit 320 paper. Using shower for sweat box. As I start anew any ideas? Thank you!

    Location of drum on Shotgun barrel

    I have only built flintlocks and have never built percussions. My granddaughter wants a percussion for a shotgun to shoot trap. I have located many touch hole liners. Would I do a drum for the percussion ignition the same as a touch hole? Thank you.
