    I don't have any on mine , but as of late I've been working close with our militia unit, and shooting blanks, for spectators, I do see a need for o e as well as those brass dealt things that deflect gases up ward and away from the guy next to ya, after getting a face full.

    Sorry to scare ya old timer but the bess weighs in around 9 lbs. And has a nice wide but plate, this thing of mine weighs in at 4 1/2 lbs. And a real narrow 1" butt plate and a very minimal drop at heel might say almost straight as a 2/4, it's rough, I agree out of a bess it's sweat, I own 3...

    A-men to that, as far as I'm concerned it's good stuff, it's just as safe as good old fashion hammer forged, iron barrels, I'm not sure so I'll have to really check my barrel but I think there's a seam on my traditions 12 ga. Cap gunthe barrel is thin, and the breach is screwed into the barrel...
