    Suicide with flintlock?

It would be possible to shoot yourself in the back of the head. The spot at the base of the skull would turn out the lights quick. My question would be why he would not have shot himself there in the first place?

    African Trade Gun

I picked up a Belgium made African trade gun today at a local shoot. It's a smooth bore flinter about .16 ga. Great shape. I don't know much about these guns. Lock looks like one from a Bess. I'll post pictures soon.

    Seed Tick Rifle

Great, Ott. Now you need to build one of those beautiful smooth bores like Rod makes to go with it. That .32 should help thin out the squirrel population here in the Ozarks!

Thanks to Paul Vallandigham for Bess lock help

I agree. Paul has helped me to enjoy and learn more about our ML hobby over the last year I have been active here. He has taken the time to send me PT's and his answers are fact based and to the point. I leaned to knap my flints from his posts! I'm glad you started this thread, it a good...

    000 buckshot for .36 cal

I shoot .36's more than anything else. I would try backing off to 28gr.FFFg and see what you get. This will drop your POI some and may be a little more accurate.

    Colt Walker Original Finish

I think I will go white cylinder. I've used Navel Jelly before, it should leave an old "in the white look. I couldn't tell, does the original have a blued or case colored frame?

    Colt Walker Original Finish

Here's the gun got it today. Nice smooth action typical for Uberti. I am hoping to match the original finish.

    Colt Walker Original Finish

I just bought a Uberti Walker replica from a member here which was a kit. The bluing is not quite right and I am considering refinishing the gun. My Question is: What was the original finish on a Walker? I have been told that the cylinders were left in the white. Was the frame case hardened...
