    Shooting range today.

Wow what a day! I took my 2 of my pedersoli frontiers to the range. The flintlock is sure fun to shoot. This is my first time shooting the flinty. I had the percussion frontier also to check the differences. Not any other than the bit of a flash from the pan in the flintlock. Both FUN to shoot.

    New Blue Ridge

I am really hooked. I just bought another M/L. Since I have a Pedersoli percussion Frontier model, I bought a Flintlock Cabelas Blue Ridge that is made by Pedersoli. Does it make much sense to take both to the range to practice? Maybe work with one on close targets and the other longer ones. Not...

    Locks as gun makers.

I have noticed in many muzzle loader ads, the guns are identified by the lock maker. These locks were often replaced later. Is this how it is done in lieu of other markings?

    Old percussion 16ga.

I have an old 16ga percussion. The barrel is marked with "TB" that is double struck. The lock has Bell London on its exterior. The gun is mostly junk, but I am still curious about it. Any help identifying it will be appreciated. Both sides of the stock are split from the trigger guard to the...

    The long, long gun. Questions

I am finding out more about the old flint lock I just received in a trade. The lock was made by William Ketland. While most of his locks said "&CO" this just has his name. Could this mean that it was one of his early locks? The 52 1/2 inch barrel is pitted inside and has the natural brown...

    My Pedersoli Frontier came today.

What a day, firmed up and made the trade for the 200? year old flint lock with 52 1/2 barrel. Got home and my Pedersoli Frontier from Cherry's guns was in my corner of the house. Standard model but beautiful gun. :)

    W KETLAND FLINTLOCK

I have an old flintlock that a friend's grandfather used years ago. The barrel is 52 1/2 inches long. I will post pics when the camera gets recharged. But, for now does anyone know anything about a W Ketland lock. Frizzen is also a pan cover. Yes the BARREL is 52 1/2 inches long.

    Howdahs In the US

I know that Howdah pistols were for use in areas where people rode elephants. I am wondering if there is any record of these being used in the US during the same time period (1800's).

Pilgrim in Far Out West Texas

I have been on this site for a few weeks now. Great help, I am new to black powder and this site has helped me mucho. When the bug bit me it really started something. I sold some of my centerfire stuff to buy more black powder stuff. Since my first, a Pedersoli coach gun, I have purchased 5...
