    Ted Jayson "Pathfinder"

I knew him as "Pathfinder" from Western Wayne County club near Plymouth, Michigan back in the 80's & 90's. I also shot a lot with him around the state. He was a nice guy that a lot of bad things happened to. RIP, Ted.

    Alifia RiverRendezvous

I was there every day. My prices musta been too low for you... :) I sold a couple guns and some knifes & hawks + a bunch of other stuff. I'm dragging the rest of it back to Ohio.

We're going. Getting out of it. Selling out everything & figured that'd be the place to do it.

Help with a Smooth Bore 20 Gauge Load

Not all 20 ga barrels are the same bore diameter I've had barrels marketed as 20 gauge run from .600" to .635" So before I bought a mold or balls, I'd mic the bore. I've had good luck shooting .600" dia. balls with .018" pillowtick cotton patch with 80 grains 2F out of a .625" bore.in the past.

Swan Contract Virginia Militia marked musket

Nice find. Check it for a load down the barrel before snapping the lock.

    Southeastern Rendezvous

They have stopped charging the trade fee. However, I don't know if it's a permanent change or not. They would also like to have all pre-registration for events. As of now, it will cost $25.00 more at the gate over the $55 (NMLRA members) or $65 (non-members) you pay at pre-registration. IMHO...

    Ft. Downing Trading Co.

LeRoy & Francis Sanders from Old Town, FL are absolutely great people & do good work. You won't be disappointed buying from them.

    Southeastern Rendezvous

We were camped next to the path they cut to the creek. The camp was smaller than they hoped for. I'm not sure but I think maybe around 140 +or- and 60ish camps. Some venders decided the road in was too steep & crooked for their long cargo trailers so they bowed out. That was disappointing for...

    Southeastern Rendezvous

Look me up. White tent, starving buckskinner, looking for free plunder, breechclout, gray beard & a medallion around my neck. I'll probably be sweating too.

    Southeastern Rendezvous

We set up camp yesterday. So far, it's looking like there's not gonna be many camps. 114 pre-registered. A couple canceled because they couldn't get in camp with their long trailers. The road in is steep & a couple 90's turns.

Anyone know where I can get a .62 cal rifle built ?

I'm sorry but I found the tag from the barrel & it's a .605" bore not a .62 cal. with gain twist. However, if you contact Bobby Hoyt he can fix you up with what you are looking for. Here's the tag.

    New Getz 54 & 62 Barrels - load recommendation/suggestions?

Check that Getz .62 caliber barrel for size. Every one I've had has been .600" diameter not .62 as advertized.

Anyone know where I can get a .62 cal rifle built ?

I bought a 51" x .62cal. rifled barrel from B. Hoyt a few months ago. You could try him. I don't think he's a member here but he is at ALR. You could site message him from over there.

Hoping to learn more about this rifle...can you help? ;-)

The lock is a Siler with the tail rounded. Looks to have a hand forged trigger guard. Possibly someone's idea of a southern mountain rifle from 70's 80's 90's? That's my guess. It's value is what someone is willing to pay.

    NMLRA fighting

They call it the Old North State Primitive Rendezvous. There is a site by the same name (Old North State Primitive Rendezvous) They have a voo with the same dates as the original Southeastern but this year you have to preregister. No registration at the gate :/

    Smoothbore "Rifles"

Here's a smooth rifle I made last fall. It's a .54 cal. x 48" oct/rnd barrel, lg. Siler lock, plain maple stock, no butt plate or entry pipe. Here's another one I made after the one above. Same barrel but 1" shorter, sm. Siler lock, ash stock, no butt plate or entry pipe.I don't have a full...
