    Sperm Oil?

Since I very seldom take anything seriously, my thoughts are: I would like to try the Jojoba oil but I'm too cheap to buy it so I'll just wait til next season and shoot me one so I can wring the oil out.

    Muzzle velocity

Having a debate and need to refute claim made by a self proclaimed expert. What would be the muzzle velocity of a 45 percussion rifle using 60 grains of 3f? He says 700 fps, I say twice that at least but have no way to measure. If you can help, thanks.

    T/C Hawken accuracy

In Nam we sometimes were forced to drink beer at room temp. Had to blow on it and cool it off so you didn't burn your tongue.

    Lyman rifles

If you shoot a deer at 100 yards you have to drag the thing back a 100 yards. Try to shoot everything up close. Except VC

Double pouch pattern in Albert’s book??

When the straps didn't match the bag I have first decorated the straps with historically correct magic markers and, with or without decoration, dyed the straps a contrasting color. A thin strip of heavier leather sewed in a hem around the flap will help it maintain shape and position. Reading...

    Hudson Bay blanket

I have a spreadsheet that tells who gets what of my important things(guns). Both kids have seen it and know who doesn't get what. Can't give the rest of my junk away.

Tried using Windex once, got the squeegee stuck in the barrel.

    32 cal kit

This thing is certainly not HC or PC, but it is lots of fun. Does have a rubber butt pad, really helps with the tremendous recoil of the 32.

    32 cal kit

Have a Traditions Deerhunter in 32. For the price, finish, fit and function are great. Back when I could see that well it would print 1 inch groups at 50 yards. With 25 grains of 3f that little pill is really smoking. Hit a squirrel at 30 yards in the chest and he is already field dressed.

    Absolutely fantastic :hatsoff:

    Breech Plug

I thought that was why they were called muzzleloaders. No hole in the back to put anything in or have anything come out. :hmm:

    Dumb Question........

A flask in a gun stock, good idea but unhandy to drink from.

    Barrel Length

All this talk about short barrels and small calibers is starting to give me a complex. Been sick, on lots of drugs, not really responsible for all I say.

    Powder question

Wish I had 26 pounds of bad powder to burn up.

How often were powderhorns left raw?

My horn is plain black and shiny, I like it that way. With guns and bags I kinda lean toward the gaudy and rednecky over decorated.

    Dumb Question........

I use a tiny funnel. No one ever accused me of overthinking something.

    PRB Holder

That is what the bag is for. Rummage around and find what I need, reload then drink a cup of coffee(to warm my hands). After that let the young ones go look for it.

    Wal-Mart Flannel?

Not hard to find good help in JoAnnes, find the most mature looking clerk and smile at her. When you get to my age group the selection narrows a tad.
