TC Cherokee 32 cal, what loads are working for you??

My .32 Cherokee does best with Hornady .315 rb, .010 pre-lube patch and 30gr Pyrodex P. This combo gives me less than 1/2" 3 shot groups at 25 yards and thats plenty good for squirrel and rabbit.

    T/C Hawkens

I found a TC Hawken .50cal in a pawn shop a couple years back for $100, then last year I picked up a .45cal barrel for it off ebay for around $85. Also own a TC New Englander .50cal and TC Cherokee with .32 and .45cal barrels.

    found a TC Seneca today

congrats on the find!!! I picked up a Cherokee several years back, it came with a not so well taken care of .45 barrel and a unfired .32 barrel. Total price out the shop door was $125!! After Cleaning Question...

I clean with hot water and Murphys Oil Soap, hot water flush, then dry well. One my TC's I use can air to blow the moisture out from around the adjustable rear sight and from between the under lug rail and barrel. With the barrel still warm I lube the bore with TC Natural Lube, then wipe the...

    TC problem, please help

The grease gun and grease nipple works every time, at least it has for me on 6 different percussion barrels with either stuck charges/bullets or stuck cleaning jags. Just be careful where the barrel is pointing because light objects tend to shoot out with enough force to break a passenger side...

    plugged nipple

Drop the nipple in some solvent, let it sit over night and then see if the fouling is soft enough to be cleaned out with a nipple pick. If not you may try boiling it in hot water then soaking in solvent. If that dont work just toss the nipple and replace it with a new one.

    TC New Englander .50

Anyone know what would be a fair price to ask for a .50cal TC New Englander in VG condition? This is a wood stock model, has some minor safe scratches on the wood but otherwise is in VG condition. Bore and external metal is in excellent shape with NO rust at all. I have cervical fusions in...

    Tradition's Mountain rifle?

The Traditions Mountain Rifle is a nice looking modern production gun, but the MSRP is a but steep for my budget. I did e-mail Traditions about the barrel length, one description said 32" while another said 28". According to the reply e-mail from Marijo the Mountain Rifle has a 32" barrel with...

    T/C Hawken

I have a TC Hawken .45 and .50 and would be interested in a fixed rear and blade front as well. Would like to give it a try anyway and see how I like it compared to the factory adjustables.

Soap and Water vs Modern Cleaners

I have always used hot water mixed with Murphys Oil Soap then follow that up with a hot water flush, dry well then lube inside and out with Natural Lube. If I am putting it up for a while I add a few drops of Oilve Oil to the nipple channel. Prior to the next shoot I clean the nipple channel...

    .32 for squirrels?

I have a TC Cherokee .32cal and have used it for squirrel and rabbit at times. Back problems have kept me from hunting the last few seasons so I am really itching for a small game hunt with my .32cal. From time to time I read about people using "0" buck in their .32's instead of regular...

    T/C Cherokee

I would give TC another call concerning the Cherokee trigger. Last year I sent my single trigger Cherokee stock/lock in with a trigger pull that went 15+ pounds. Two weeks later it came back with a pull that measures about 3.5 pounds. Regulis7

GM 36/40 barrels for TC Hawken?

Anyone here own a GM barrel in .36 or .40cal for the TC Hawken rifle? If the barrels are worth the price anyone know where the best place to get them would be? Recoil is a major issue for me now days due to nerve damage in neck/shoulder/arm and plate and screws in the cervical spine. My...

    My Pawn Shop finds....

Thanks for the complements!! Browsing the pawn shops, and used racks in gun shops, is yet another hobby of mine. One reason I got such a great deal on the TC Hawken was because the rear trigger "didn't work"! The shop guy made sure I knew the rear trigger was "broke" :rotf: and didnt work...
