    Target pistol

I was looking at that one also and your right, Traditions doesn't import anymore. Nice looking gun.

    Target pistol

I should have said high 80's at 25 yds....not there yet at 50 yds.

    Target pistol

Well, still had problems last weekend. Won the match but it is still frustrating. A Pedersoli dealer told me the Carlton takes a longer nipple, Anonymous essentially suggested this, so I'll try those but if you have ever tried to cap a Carlton in winter with cold hands in the limited space...

    Target pistol

No I haven't, but I will! Less travel of the hammer....that might work! The cats are going to love me tonight.

    Target pistol

I'm using CCI's and I already sanded down the OD of the nipple. I'm thinking that the hammer is binding a little and not striking the nipple directly. I oil the hammer and glide area regularly. Turning the angle of strike does not seem to help.

    Target pistol

I am looking for a single shot target pistol and I am looking for suggestions. I have a Pedersoli Carlton underhammer but I am having firing issues with it. I've tried everything but it rarely fires this first shot. The first try seems to set the cap, the second fires. Using #11 magnums, I...

    Teflon Patch Material

It might have been the same source that was in Muzzleloader mag though they are not in this month s issue. It was a lady in Texas and her husband passed away last fall. It was a beige canvas material with the teflon.

    Teflon Patch Material

Does anybody know of a source for teflon patch material? Our source here in Texas is not available at the moment. Thanks!

My Don Stith/John Bergmann J&S Hawken Arrived Today

That rifle looks great! I've been wanting to do the same with a Don Stith components set. Can you pass on the builders contact information?

Quite possibly the worst movie of all time

I've often wondered about this also. What a great story, Lewis and Clark! Trouble is it would be an expensive movie to make and the general public couldn't care less about seeing it.

    tvm southern rifle

I was looking at the Leman first and Toni suggested the Southern over the Leman since I was going to use it for competition. She said the curvature of the butt-stock and it's thickness would be a hinderance. How does your Leman feel to your shoulder? Do you a pic of the top of the stock so...

    James River Armory Enfield

I picked up the springfield model recently with the hoyt barrel and I'm very pleased with it. I now have a tight pattern at 50yds. The barrel is an obvious choice if you're into shooting it. Mine has a cleanout screw below the nipple which helps on cleaning which is a nice plus.

    Sizing Dies

I've missplaced my sizing die and I need one in a hurry. There was a place on the east coast that sold them but I can't remember their name. I need a .578 for my .58 Enfield. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

    Don Stith Kits

I'm looking at getting a kit from Don Stith and I'm trying to decide on a model. I keep looking at the H.E DIMICK RIFLE because of the statement of a better balance. I'll be using the rifle mainly for target competition so that is my main consideration. At that same time, I'm not sure that...

sick of that jackass who writes for NMLRA

If I'm out during ML season, walking the trails with my flintlock or caplock and in traditional/period garb, the last thing I want to see is a guy in camo, riding his quad with his inline across the handle-bars, driving to his deer feeder with Budweiser cans falling out of igloo ice chest...

    1860 which maker?

I have never heard of different grades of build. Is this an exclusive from cimarron/Texas Jack? If I wanted my dealer to order one, how is it listed?

    Lee vs Lyman moulds

Thanks for the responces! I knew I'd get good advice here!

    Lee vs Lyman moulds

I need to get some moulds in .395 and .530 roundball and I'm wondering what the consensus is for Lee vs Lyman. Tha Lee is a aluminum mold and is cheap. Lymans are steel but quite a bit more expensive and rapine's are the most expensive. I'll be casting about 40-50 at a time. Would it be worth...

    Sizing minnies

I'm using a hodgdon .578 mold from RCBS for my Enfield in skirmish shoots. The .578 minnie fits loosely in the barrel, I could load the bullet with lub at this size though it would be snug. When I was casting bullets with some members of the group they told me to size the minnies and they had...
