    Pietta Remmi no more!

A different angle? What if a chain fire occurred and the bottom ball fired into the loading lever? The odds to this happening twice is extremely high, but what loading procedure is used? Regards Lucas p.s. I love my Pietta Remmi. I redid the grips by sanding, forming and preserving with...

    Pietta Remington

Hi there I got the Pietta. I don't worry about the cylinder pin so much. I carry a rag and wipe as much of the cylinder as I can get to - especially the face. No problems so far. Regards Lucas p.s. I use Ballistol on the pin when I lube before a shoot

    Pietta 1858 timing

Howdy I've been told of a kit assembly instruction set that detailed the tuning of a Pietta 1858. I need to work on my timing and was hoping that someone here could point me to a copy of said document. The old gent that told me about this built his kit in the '70's and cannot find the...

    Great, thanks.

    PRB for 2 Band Enfield

What RB do you use/cast? I would have thought one could go as low as 30 or 40 gr for the 'light' PRB. 60gr is standard for miniè's, isn't it? Or are you refering to a hunting load?

    PRB for 2 Band Enfield

Hi All I want to get a .562 LEE Round ball mold to shoot with patches in my Enfield. Have any of you done it and what were the results, loads etc.? Is it worth the effort? I'm struggeling with the Miniè's and am considdering this from a cost factor as well. For Paul G: For competion...

    Pietta Remington

I didn't want to hi-jack ian45662's post regarding his 58's age, but have wondered the same about mine. I see no xx? numbers stamped on the frame. The serial number is XR352xxx. The barrel is stamped BZ PN (*symbol crossed guns?*) FAP. Thank you. Big L

    My Pistols

Hi Zodd A bit complex really. Muzzleloaders are licence free, although we need permits for the BP - a formality though. Cap and balls are a grey area which has besides confusion, also caused C&B's to be impossible to import as they are neither fish nor fowl. As I only recently accuired mine...

    Cylinder alignment

Hi Dan This is viewed from the muzzle with a flashlight lighting up all the way to the nipples in the back. As I said, it shoots and has been for a while so safety is probably not an issue. But what happens to the accuracy? Cheers
