    Bore light question

Bobber lights work great, if you can find a white light sample. Red, green and yellow are kind of goofy for a bore light, but they'll work!

What's a "upgrade" sight set for

the fur trade era, 1820-30 or so, I'm talking about something better than the small notch rear sight that I have now on a Edward Marshall type build that I figure could have survived and been used in those days. Need something easier to see!

    parkerized?

I used to do alot of it with M1 rifles, field shotguns,FAL's etc. Fun and easy but I dont think it would look good on a traditional muzzle loader. It would do what it's supposed too though!

    I caught MOUNTAIN MEN

Flipping the bird was odd, but it's been around since at least the 15th century someone told me, The English flipped the french to show they could still "pluck the yew". The french tended to cut the finger off captured english longbowmen.

Walker vs. Dragoon 1st or 2nd Model Dragoon

I recently got hold of a Walker, used but certainly not abused, and I can't stand it :shocked2: ....I want to load it up with 45 grns of 3F Goex and a .454 ball, go out into the backyard and shoot a stump....the neighbors probably wouldnt understand :nono: so I'll have to wait til next week's...

    Defarbing a GPR....

Yeah, I'm looking for a better looking gun, just a personal preference, better looking overall instead of as is filled with stamped and dot-matrix 'who made it's, 'read the manual' and 'black powder only's. On second thought, does anyone know someone who would be fooled into thinking it's an...

    Defarbing a GPR....

Anyone done it? Was it a PITA or worthwhile? I'd like to brown my GPR but also would like to get rid of all those 'markings'.

should I draw file now or later?

texcl, I'd be tempted to draw file it now and make use of time. But, what if the stock channel is loose on the sides when you get it and try your draw-filed barrel for fit? Tough to put wood on wood to make it snug but can be done, even tougher to put steel on steel...I'd be tempted but I guess...
