How Far Can You Make Successful Kill Shots ?.

I would tend to agree with your supposition and suggestions of how to find your distance by shooting at a paper plate. I know that my offhand distance is considerably shorter than when I'm using a shooting stick or rest.

    First one of the year

Nice shooting there @Boomerang ! Glad you could get out and give those tree rats some lead. It's just too stinking hot here in Missouri for me and will have to cool off a bit before I'm willing to fight the ticks for some squirrel meat.

    Fall Managed Deer Hunt

I have been fortunate to have had our hunting group selected for an upcoming Managed Deer Hunt at the Drury - Mincy wildlife conservation area near Branson, Missouri for October 26 & 27. The fall muzzleloader deer hunts were always a special time for me in Missouri and I was disappointed when...

Buying a custom or semi custom flintlock rifle

Good advice. The best makers have a backlog and that is what takes so long. Once the good makers start on a custom build they usually don't take that long to complete the project. But the wait to work your way to the top of the list can be measured sometimes in years!
