    T/C pistol

Hi guys, been a while since I've been here. Today I went to see an old guy I've known for years about a gun he had for sale. ( 6.5x55 Sweede). While I was there I saw a T/C percussion in .45 cal. No model name on it, but it had double set triggers and a hood over front sight. I think it was...

We lost a member - Paul Vallandigham

RIP Paul, when I first got into muzzleloading Paul PM'ed several times to help me get started. Thoughts and prayers to his twin Peter and the rest of his family.

    Pennsylvania public land

A friend of mine is a poly-sci teacher who reads about gov every day and he told me about it but had very little info so he asked me to check it out and see if I could find anything. It sounded to him like a back room deal without any public input, but I can't seem to be able to find anything...

    Pennsylvania public land

A friend of mine told me today that the Penn state gov was closing off public land in some areas to hunting due to new gas leases and had not told anybody, had not talked to conservation organizations or hunting groups. It seems strange to me but he's a poly sci teacher and reads a ton of...

    First squirrels of the year...

How hard is it to hunt when the leaves are off down there? I never heard of a rat dog till I lived close to D.C. for a few years. Up here I just sit in a spot that has some camo and call. Now this is with a rim fire but it can't be much different than with a .32 or a .36 cause I'm still shooting...

    Filled my lion tag

Just had to bump this up. My son came home for a few days before school starts and I told him this story, hunted up the thread and let him read it. We just sat and talked about how hard it would be to stalk a cat. I'm still just shaking my head to think about it. I don't know if I made it clear...

    Another patch question

Using a mallet may sound bad but it's better than a fellow might think. I use a rubber hammer all the time at the range. I tap the ball and patch in gently till it's flush with the muzzle then cut off the patch ( I use home made patching from walmart pillow ticking ripped into strips and lubed)...

    Got some lead, I think.

Sorry Zonie, didn't mean to break any rules or lead anybody astray. Now I'm not even sure it's Lino type if Jim/oh is right. :idunno:

    Got some lead, I think.

I take route 50 just cause it's a nice ride through the hills, if I'm in a hurry I can find faster ways.

    Got some lead, I think.

Hogghead, I have a sister who lives by D.C. and when I go down to see her I take route 50 through W.V., nice ride. If I still got the Lino the next time I go I'll PM you and see if we ca make a trade.

    Got some lead, I think.

I didn't weigh it, just a guess I'd say 100 pounds give or take. Rich gave me two five gallon buckets, each over half full.

    Got some lead, I think.

Thanks guys, the guy that gave me the lead reloads .44 mag so he's getting a mold and I'll cast a bunch for him. Still might keep a eye out for a old style revolver, kinda sounds like that might be fun. :v

    Got some lead, I think.

A friend knew I was casting round balls and left some lead at my place while I was away a few days ago. It's from a printer, comes in small pieces with letters on one end. Took a few thin ones and tried to bend them but they broke in half, brittle little buggers. They can't be pure lead, so...

    Figure this out (please)

You didn't by chance get new glasses did you? I got new Bi-focals and couldn't hit the south end of a bull with a bucket of rice till I forgot to put them on after checking the target with field glasses. Soon as I shot without the glasses my group got much better. Maybe have someone else shoot...
