    spreading a frizzen spring

    I would like to spread out a frizzen spring on a lock I built. I know to apply heat to the bend in the spring and then open it up. Do I have to re-harden and temper the entire spring after that ? Rifle Shoppe spring.

    stock crack repair

    Friend of mine has a crack down the ram rod channel from the muzzle for about 9". What would you use to repair it , wood glue or epoxy ? Was also thinking that putting a couple of toothpick pins in might help.

    A friend of mine has a Tulle FDC with a L&R lock. I just started going off on half cock when in the stock. I cannot get it to go off outside the lock.     Nailing inlay

    Putting a star shaped inlay on a pistol. Already fitted and epoxied in place. How many brass nails would you use ? 1 in the center or 1 at each point ? Bought brass escutcheon pins from Woodcraft.

    bedding compounds

    Am currently building a gun using a walnut stock and an octagon to round barrel. The round area seems to be a little loose. I did no wood removal there when fitting the barrel. Just wondering if bedding compound would help. Which one ? Have never used it before.
