    Favorite caliber to shoot

My favorite and most accurate rifle is my Tennessee in 40 cal made by Mark Wheland. Mark also made my hunting rifle a Lion and Lamb gun copy of Andreas Albritch, in 60 cal. Both are flintlocks naturally.

    Gun range

I shoot off my back deck at 22 yard clangers. Out front I have a 80 yard range, backstop is piled up hemlock logs. I belong to a shooting club about 40 miles away, but I never go, I just keep paying my yearly dues.

Cylinder locks up on half cock

I just heard back from the vendor and they sent me a RMA to return the pistol for a full refund. Being I bought this gun brand new, I decided not to try to fix it myself. Thank you all for your wanted suggestions and concern. I’m sure that you will hear from me again when I buy a new gun...

    New Revolver To The Stable

My Walker’s loading lever has not dropped once in 54 shots. Seems like they fixed that problem. That is a really ingenious way of fixing the lever on that original Walker! American ingenuity never ceases to amaze me!

    New in town…

Flintlocks are the cat’s meow. A fellow flinter named Stumpkiller once said “give yourself up for dead when you pull the trigger”, that really works to defeat the dreaded flinch.

Cylinder locks up on half cock

Tomorrow I am going to break down the gun further than I did yesterday. Maybe there is something hiding down in the trigger assembly. I will take pictures. Thanks

Cylinder locks up on half cock

I broke it down as far as removing the trigger guard, hammer and the hand. I didn’t take the trigger assembly apart. Maybe I should?

Cylinder locks up on half cock

While shooting my Walker, I went to reload and the bolt would lock the cylinder when put on half cock. When the hammer was pulled back about one inch, the cylinder would move freely. But when the hammer reached the half cock position, the bolt would lock the cylinder. If I went to full cock...

How can anyone add to your post! Everything was explained and laid out perfectly. Your rifle and kit are both beautiful and functional. Looks like it came from a museum.

Cleaning patch stuck at breach end.

Here is a little tool that I picked up somewhere. It has a forged screwdriver, hammer, vent pick and a worm. I had one forged for my 60cal flinter, but it is somewhere in my house that is eluding me. This one fits my 40cal flinter. It works really well.
