    Annoyed

my cva mountain stalker gave me fits of miss and hang fires. no matter how well it was cleaned, new nipples, powder or caps...it just wouldn't work. i blamed the patten breach and all most gave it away. then one day while showing how a patch worm worked, i pulled a patch from the gun. :headslap...

Cap And Ball Revolvers For Personal Protection?

any of the 44 or 36 cal. c&p revolvers will get the job done. the 31 cal also makes a nice "get off me gun". the walker would make a nice truck gun too. if ruger made a old army with a two inch barrel , no loading lever and a rounded grip, would you buy it? i would! ::

Traditional Hunters in Michigan, it's our time...

put traditional first. deer can be had at ranges under 100 yards at the start of the season. then the in-lines can have the second haft. deer will be at 100 yards or more. now if we can just move bow hunters to the rifle season, we could have the whole woods for our own. :kid:

    Traditional ML Season Support Base.

why not make the season truly traditional? all i'm asking is why not go full bore. dress, hunt and play the part. it seems the current way has only allowed the non-traditional problems to fester. this would be the season i would fully support. if not, then whats the point?

    Traditional ML Season Support Base.

you are quite right sir. you can't but, how can i justfy to my dnr that in a primitive season, only the gun counts? would not that be like ( god fobid) using a in-line and saying all my other equipment is pre 1890's?
  14. W

    Traditional ML Season Support Base.

o.k. then. it's only about gun and not the equipment. so it would be o.k. to also use night vison equipment? is not gps etc... modern stuff?

    Opinions on scopes and sights.

i'm with you all the way on this one. in maryland one needed a doctors slip to use scopes in the ml season. during the regular season scopes were allowed. a few years ago the rules changed to allow them during ml season.

    Opinions on scopes and sights.

go with a fixed 4 or six power. if his range is under a 100 yards try a red dot scope. also, have him get a new pair glasses each year. i've seen guys with scrips that were older than me. somtimes one must put aside p.c. in order to over come health problems. :peace:

    Sunday Hunting?

i don't belive it's traditional thus, it should not be allowed. :nono:
