    Ratio unmentionables to BP firearms?

Before the 2014 house fire, the UMs outnumbered the BPGs 4 to 1 (i collected original Japanese, American, English, German, Swiss, & Russian UMs from The Boer War, WW1 & WW2) Now it's about 50/50.....

Trying Buck & Ball loads with smoothbore fun...

Never lose the grip on learning something. What may have been practical then and not practical now, may useful someday to someone under certain circumstances. There may come a time in the future that these skills are needed if/when something happens to the modern technology we have now fails...

TC Seneca with bad bore. Options?

If there is any rifling left, shoot a Maxi-ball. I once bought a T/C with a rough bore and it shoots fine with a Maxi-ball.

Should the powder charge be equivalent to the caliber?

Where do you draw the line?

To each their own...... With exception of a scope ML, I have MLs with everything else. The unmentionable MLs are ok in their right, even though I hunt with, shoot, and collect the traditionals. I keep an unmentionable BP pistol in my truck loaded and capped during ML season in the chance I may...

Where do you draw the line?

I shoot and hunt with longbow, crossbow (both types), recurve, and compound........being a prepper too, I keep my options open....wether it's BP, archery, or "unmentionables".
  14. nightwolf1974

Where do you draw the line?

Have Have Have Don't have (just don't like them on BP guns) Have (even one with a red-dot for hunting)

Where do you draw the line?

Agree 100% ! I don't have any originals, and honestly I'm happy with reproductions. I have some BP stuff that falls into a couple of those slots mentioned, and I still enjoy them. I don't shoot competition, I'm not part of any BP shooting clubs, so it is what it is.....

    What shortage?

😵 I don't worry about paying the Hazmat fee....it is what it is. If I want it, if it's available, and if I can afford it.......I'll buy it. "End of Line......"

Which side to carry possible bag and powder horn

I'm right handed, so I carry my PB on my left side, with a small bottle of powder inside. I keep the right hand free for shooting, access to the unmentionable(s)*and/or BP handgun, knife and hawk on my belt on the right hand side. *Although I love using 17th, 18th, and 19th century tech and...
