    Maximum Powder Charge

    I wondering what the max powder charge would be for my 1858 remmie. Specifically, I want to know how much powder I can put behind a 180 gr. Buffalo conical. The uberti manual says a max load of only 30 gr. but that seems really low to me. I've put 35 behind a round ball. Thanks! edit: manual...

    Severe 1858 Binding

    I recently purchased a new Uberti 1858 Remington, and just got to fire it today. The problem is that after only 2 shots, it binds up, and the only way to free it is to put it in half-cock, and turn the cylinder really hard. After a few revolutions, it frees up again, and i can shoot 2 more...
