It is a .40 cal. and I am working on the load. . 380 RB and a .020 patch seem to work. about 27 grains of 3f for now, but need to work on the load. If I only could hold the pistol still enough it would probably be just fine!

    Flint raw stock

I have come to understand that the best flint rocks is the one you dig out from the ground and preferably in pebbles of some size. Then it is just to start hitting with a ball hammer before you continue with the crown of an antler. Then you start over again be-course you did not get it right the...

New to flintlocks: Looking for a 24" barrel rifle kit

I read your post and if I understand you right you want a flintlock with a 24" barrel-? I see that it would be great for moving trough dense brush, just take in to consideration that with a short barrel like that you will lose velocity. If you could go for like a 30" or even a 28.5" you could...

Pedersoli 20 gauge flintlock double shotgun

We shoot 5 stand with the clay throwing machine locked to only throw the clay`s straight forward 50 - 60 meters. According to the MLAIC rules. Good fun and we do the same with our vintage black powder cartridge shotguns. We do arrange shootings on regular bases. Great fun.

    I De-farbed my Piettta 1862 Spiller & Burr.

I will see if I have some letter stamping tools. I would like to stamp the letters CS on the brass frame- Down left front was the placement on a few of the originals. Yeah, DIXIE for ewer, and the South will rise again!

That is exactly why I did not remove them, but just made them less visible! I belief it will be all good as long as the #number is still visible.

Defarbing or antiquing, the difference is not that obvious for a Norwegian who has English / American as a second languish. Thank you for making it clear! I did not remove all the markings but I did file them down a little. Not sure if it shows properly in the video.

    I De-farbed my Piettta 1862 Spiller & Burr.

I De-farbed my Piettta 1862 Spiller & Burr replica revolver. Made a video, how do yaàll think it became? Did I simply ruin it? Or is it radical looking now? Radical Rebel, yeah that suits me fine. I like it after the de-farbing. I do not know if I need to, but I posted a message in the old...

    G'Day From Australia

Goday major and welcome from Norway. I used to have the same musketon a Parker Hale. did you get the mould for it? Other than start shooting it with a moderate load, it is a fine starter piece. 60 to 70 grain FFg and work on different lubes. Lube is the key to good precision.!
