Some forums also don't allow personal messages from new members until a certain number of posts/length of time.. That would stop this particular guy.

I need a recommendation for professional grade gunsmith screwdrivers

I really like my Magna-Tip set. Had one bit that twisted, and a short handle that spun on the shaft and Brownell's replaced them quickly with no questions asked.

    .36 Conundrum

I've pumped water through the patent breeches until the water ran clean. I still got fouling from them when I stick a q-tip and a little moose milk in there. The way a q-tip fits in a 8-32, or 10-32 thread, it's not falling off, and it isn't so tight in the patent breech that it won't fall out...

How to use the bear grease…?

I bought some of Frontier's Bear Oil lube. I melted it, soaked one patch, and layered a patch on each side of that one. Blotted any excess off while it was still liquid between paper towels. Stored the lubed patches in an old prescription bottle. They're slippery, but you can't tell there's...

    Unfired Muzzleloaders

I only have one gun that is unfired. It's an unmentionable, scoped, 'Black Rifle" that I won in a club raffle. Not sure if I'll shoot it, or just pass it on unfired, but go it will. It really doesn't trip my trigger.

Sad news - Zonie has passed

I've already paid my respects in this thread, but I'd like to add this quote from Mark Twain... Let us endeavor so to live so that when we come to die even the undertaker will be sorry. Mark Twain I think Jim succeeded in that endeavor.
