    Merry Christmas from Australia

You need to cone down one year to experience it! I must admit my pet hate at this time of the year is any song mentioning snow or a white Christmas, also going to see the local Christmas decorations in 100F heat to find they are all festooned on fake snow!

    How many years Muzzleloading experience?

Forty years, purchased my first muzzle loader in 1984, it was a Parker Hale Enfield Rifled Musket ( 3 bander). Still have it but it has not come out of the cupboard for a few years as I have been shooting flint locks for the last 35 years.

    Scheels LIMITS Caps?!?

Well, at least you can buy caps, here is NSW Australia there are NO caps for sale anywhere. Main importer has had caps on back order for 2 years, our club members are now buying the kits you can get from Sharpshooter Rimfire Reloader to make #11 caps and getting them mailed down here. May be...

Anybody here ever heard the term 'rip-off Britain'?

I'm afraid I would lean towards ignorant rather than enlightened.

Anybody here ever heard the term 'rip-off Britain'?

Yes, I am sending off an order today. Our club member who made the first order also found a die to make the top hat four flanged caps from Poland of all places!, I am getting the details from him so i can also purchase one. My first muzzle Loading rifle (purchased back in the mists of time...

Anybody here ever heard the term 'rip-off Britain'?

Not mentioned at all in the legislation due to the fact that is was drafted ignoring all of the submissions from the NSW Muzzle Loading Association and thus it was legislated by public servants with little knowledge of modern firearms and zero knowledge of black powder firearms!

Anybody here ever heard the term 'rip-off Britain'?

The material that comes in these kits is 4 separate chemicals that when combined with rubbing alcohol makes the percussive compound, there is nothing that I can see in the NSW Firearms Act that specifically prohibits this.

Anybody here ever heard the term 'rip-off Britain'?

Thanks for the information. I have just found out that one of our club members has ordered a a similar kit from the US and it was delivered a day or two ago. Our Christmas shoot & BBQ is this coming Sunday and i am going to advise all of our members to order at least one of these kits, this will...

Anybody here ever heard the term 'rip-off Britain'?

Well, at least you can buy percussion caps! here in New South Wales it is now impossible to buy any type of percussion cap. I recently emailed the main Australian importer of CCI and Remington caps in desperation, they have had caps on back order for two years now. It is now so grim that going...
