using mag spark,, i've finally got excellent grouping with 209 primers since changing to winchester 777 209 primers.. these are 1/2 the strength of cci & federal 209 primers. they fire prb 1/2 velocity of cci & federal primers with no powder... (i had been using rws 1075 caps).. i was getting...

i remember conversions for rifle primers back in the late 70's,, several of my friends had em on their t/c side locks... i've not been able to find info on such these days though,, just 209 conversion (Mag Spark) and pedersoli, (which suggest not using with black powder, only for indoor primer...

i bought one too,,, i think the frizzen spring is entirely too strong! the only flintlock i have experience with is my t/c & i had to file down the frizzen contact to get the tension low enough to slow flint breaking. the l&r roller contact wouldn't allow this,, guess spring "thinning" is the...

Does the set screw go through the tang to the "hook of the hooked breach"?? I've never seen that,(if it does), but it's probably a good idea??

is it a "slow twist" for patched ball? i have a fast twist on 50cal flintlock that is purely awesome shooter,, GM barrels are excellent.

what weight bullet were you using? (or were you using a patched ball)? i've got paper patched 500 grain bullets ready to shoot out of my 18 twist 45 cal rice barrel. they might buck the wind a bit? (i hope)

it's a t/c,, somebody bedded it there in front of the tang,, which can't hurt... how close to center of the pan is the flash hole,,, (the epoxy on mine got there because i had to move the barrel assembly back to get the flash hole in middle of the pan... i bet its in the middle?? & i bet it...
