Chuck beat me to it. The .54 Minie should be a good conical option. I shot .54 Hornady GPs out of my 1-65 twist Rocky Mountain Hawken. Those are not made anymore, but that Minie is very close to them.

I burned a lot of T7 in my Pedersoli Rocky Mountain Hawken. It is definitely a "hot" powder. With 90 grs of 2f and a .530 PRB, I was getting over 1900 fps, which was around 300 fps more than black, which seems to match your results for long guns. I have gone all black now just to lessen types...
