    CVA squirrel rifle

I had one. It was plenty squirrel head accurate out to 40 yds with 15-18 gr of 3f. The l.o.p wasn't to bad but the little drop was a pain. Had to pull my head way back to get on the sights. Sold it to a guy for his son, worked great for him.

    Help with Hawken Identification.

It is slightly oversized in spots, looks like it wasn't draw filled properly. Its also a different color, like if the bluing didn't take to the plug the same as the barrel. Me and my dad both bought one from a trader roughly 20 years ago and they were both identical. No telling where they...

Opinions on Pietta 1851 Confederate Navy revolver?

Id go with steel frame as well. My experience with brass frames has been pretty good with light loads but they do wear. As far as not being historically correct or a fantasy gun i don't really mind. I like having the options, get what you like. One fantasy gun i bought on a impulse buy, a month...

    Help with Hawken Identification.

I have a new old stock sharon barrel and your breech looks just like mine. From the few others I've seen the stamping can be fairly shallow and fine. My crown is different from yours and the one pictured above, but that doesn't mean much, rifling looks the same. On a side note i did once find a...

Show N Tell your first MLer rifle

Technically my first was a old asm Walker. My grandpa had me carry it around the farm for rats and the occasional rabbit or squirrel loaded with bird shot. After the first year of carrying it in my belt he cut up a old saddle to make a holster for me. A few years later one of my uncles found out...

    Wasted another 100 bucks...

Trust me, i know, it was just a play on words. The Kennedy kit is probably worth 500 or more in the parts alone.

    Wasted another 100 bucks...

Yep, just stock, lock, barrel, trigger, and trigger gaurd is all i have for the Kennedy kit. Gonna have to fit or make the rest of it.

    Wasted another 100 bucks...

On a really good deal!! Took a short road trip with my niece today and found this at a pawn shop. The first one turned out to be what's left of a old Bill Kennedy kit. .50 cal rifled, tapered and swamped barrel. Looks like grade 3 curly stock. What im pretty sure is a small Siller lock and l&r...

    What in the underlug?

I wish I had a tig welder. I'm good with my mig and brazing but like I mentioned earlier, me and sloder have issues 😂 Found a dove tail style lug that will work, now I just need to find my dove tail jig. And with as much as my nieces have been bothering me lately, i might get it done in two weeks 😏

    What in the underlug?

Good catch. Looked at it under some better light and did a little poking with a screw driver and there is a little bit of JB on the barrel. Must of came off some time before my dad got it and that's how they fixed it. It held up pretty good considering how much my dad shot it back when he got...

    What in the underlug?

Im a darn good welder, brazer, but soldering is my nemesis 😆 just always gives me fits. New dove tail probably best for me. I thought about gradual corrosion to but the break looks perfectly clean. Guess the gun just wanted some attention from me 😁
