    44 caliber paper cartridge former.

I'm making a 44 caliber round ball paper cartridge former for my 1858 Remy Army and 1860 Colt Army. What would the length of the taper be? Would this also be the thickness of the block?

    Lock to stock fit question.

I was able to sand out the lock cutout. The Lock plate sits a little proud of the stock but looks great. Much better than before.

I got all the pins out. Took over an hour. Gouged up the wood a bit but it all sanded out. All the pins were rusted. I will be replacing them with brass.

    Pedersoli Kentucky Pistol kit question

You can see in the image the pins are rounded. I'm going to be getting a 5/64" parallel pin punch. I may need to get a starter punch.

    Pedersoli Kentucky Pistol kit question

How do I get these pins out. I believe the are 2mm. I can't get them to budge. I don't want the punch to roll off the pins and go into the wood.

    Lock to stock fit question.

This flintlock is a Pedersoli kit so I can work the stock without a problem. I think I can let the lock sit a little proud of the stock and it will be fine. My kit doesn't have as much of a cutout as this picture shows.

    Lock to stock fit question.

The attached image it shows a cutout in the stock for the hammer, Do original Kentucky Pistol have this feature. I find it ugly as hell. Is there any way of fixing it?
