What are your favorite Thompson Center (T/C) Percussion guns?

I've owned several TC guns over the years but still have my favorites. Number one is a Cherokee with Douglas .40 round ball barrel. Second spot is tied between my new Englander 12 gauge and the renegade .56 SB. My latest TC acquisition is a short barrel New Englander "thumper" in .54. was gonna...

    Sportsman's warehouse

That's the problem with many of these stores. Around here most of the employees are not shooters, hunters, outdoorsy, or gun people. Not their fault but they just aren't knowledgeable enough to be if any help with such things. Pretty sad for the customer.

2024 cap update, bad and the bad

Had the same problem at our Walmart. I'm friends with the girl that runs sporting goods there. One day I asked her when they were getting any. She said they filled two hooks with them the same morning and immediately two guys cleaned them all out. The same two guys that are always buying up the...

I love pizza and pineapple. Just not together. I find pineapple most appetizing when shrimp fajitas are involved.

New Traditions Deerhunter Flint showed up! Any advice?

Ez I for one have eaten well and had a lot of fun for three decades with those inferior guns. Guess I just got lucky. I've got a few of those "nice" guns too but most of the time it is an old CVA or Traditions that comes out of my safe to play. I also like to tinker by changing barrel lengths...

New Traditions Deerhunter Flint showed up! Any advice?

Thanks. And that black rifle scared me so much I think I peed a little when I saw it. Those things should be banned. Think of the children. 🤣

New Traditions Deerhunter Flint showed up! Any advice?

Where would one find a smoothbore barrel like that? Would be a great addition.

New Traditions Deerhunter Flint showed up! Any advice?

Know the feeling. Nothing like hoping she is in the bathroom or taking a nap when the mail shows up. But if that's the dirtiest thing I ever do behind my wife's back then I'm doing ok.

Into The Wild Frontier on Roku Channel

Third season is out too. Freevee and Roku has it. Check out the Chrisopher Gist episode. Then watch Washington's Armor. Same guy plays Gist in that movie. One of my favorite characters from that time period.

New Traditions Deerhunter Flint showed up! Any advice?

Some brands come with a protective coating on some of the metal parts to keep them from rusting while they sit in a box for months. My wife bought me a new Deer Hunter for Christmas back around 97 or so. It is percussion and still looks great and works flawlessly. Best $99 she ever spent. Enjoy...

Well you didn't make a mistake at that price. I'd jump on it too.

    Help with CVA Kentucky rifle

On the caps working but not firing the charge, on a few rifles I've had that problem with, I find a drill bit a size above the nipple hole and drill it out. Never had a failure to fire after that as long as everything is clean and dry.

    Help with CVA Kentucky rifle

Is the hammer dropping good and hard or does it seem kinda weak?

    How do you eat them

Buddy of mine makes "hillbilly polenta". It's grits made with chicken broth and different kinds of dried pepper flakes. Very tasty.

Same recipe but drop a little honey in there and see what happens.
