Loyalist Dave and other who may have served, Thank You for your service. Also your spot on with your comment and I love that quote, gotta save that one: Didn't Wyatt Earp say something like during a shootout one needs to "Take your time as fast as you can." One last note and true fun test. Has...

    Pointing Vs Aiming

Ok I’ll jump in the deep water here. Law enforcement for over 20 years and investigations and dignitary armed protection for 10 plus years. With the unmentionable brass cartridge handgun I always trained point and shoot. Cause #1 rule is cover and concealment. When the SHTF 98% of the time...

I was given by a friend to clean and to see if it works (thinking of making an offer to buy if price is right) an original 1850s British Pepperbox .40 cal round ball revolver. It was pretty dirty spent time disassembling and cleaning. The action does works well, no issues at all. Only problem is...

FOR SALE Harpers Ferry Musket Model 1842

First off this also caught my eye as the 1841 Mississippi rifle or the Harper Ferry rifle is the last long gun on my bucket list on having a long gun representing every American War up thru the Gulf War. Just too many red flags and I would doubt on shooting this one. So I got my popcorn and...

    1864 Springfield Lower Sling Swivel

As for the Barrel Band, it is the correct spring loaded ban, having a small bolt hole to mount the front Swivel. The bolt is not tappered. With this, it is the Barrel Band left side swivel hole that is threaded. The Swivel is NOT threaded. Both the bolt head and the other side are flush with the...

    1864 Springfield Lower Sling Swivel

I have a 100% original 1863 Springfield Type 2. I’m at work now so these pics are zoomed off my phone and a bit blurred. Tomorrow I’ll take some clear close ups if you like. I can remove the screws for close up pics too. Both are screwed in from right side to the left.
