    Another Hawk Question...

You can try cutting a piece of leather and using it as a spacer between your hawk and handle. I wouldn't do the tack thing, as it may still be loose, and rattle. I can say from experience, that the leather method works well.

    Making a tomahawk look authentic...

You could cut a chunk of leather, and use it as a spacer for your handle, I have a hawk I have to do that with, it works great. If you cut the leather right, you won't even know it's there.

    Pumpkin, bacon and eggs

I never cooked in a pumpkin before, but I roasted a pumpkin for making pie just by wrapping it in foil, and putting it directly in the fire. turned out great, and the pie (baked in a dutch oven) had a slight smokey flavor that really added to the flavor.

Mountain men vs Longhunters at Rendezvous

I've seen just about everything at rondy's here in Minn, Long hunters, MM, Rev War Vets, I even have some good friends who use a pirate persona (No high seas here :idunno: ), so I would say ware what you feel comfortable in, and have a good time.
