Awesome leather work....unique design. Swampy really did a masterful execution.

Bet the Chickens are impressed... :hatsoff:

I will join in the large crowd to heap praise on your latest effort. There's history on those flap-over holsters, as noted in that great book, Packing Iron.

Hope you aren't laid up too long with that rotator cuff. Let me know if I can do anything for you during that time. I will forward pictures of my latest 1851 Navy leather holster for your HONEST assessment when I get it completed.

It's just fun to see Swampy work

?'S...do you use bear grease to seal the leather for a finish
......if not what work's

......is it best to keep the leather on the stiff side?

It's post like this that give me the itch for a pistol!Dayum!

Keep pounding out the Hit's Swampy!

Mike... Nice score!

I really like the colours on it with that border stamping.

Swampy is that your own custom stamp on the back? What does it say? And did you make the pattern for it yourself?

I suppose bear oil could be used but I just can't bring myself to use it on leather. I get a small amount to render every year and after giving most away, I'm not left with a whole lot for myself...I make sure its there for my flinters...

I do give them a good dose of neatsfoot oil and a good rub down but other than that I leave up to the owner to go any further. Way I see it, I'm just not gettin paid enough to fuss any further on them. :haha:

VEY nicely done sir and yep twisted fringe is such a delight - not!

I do have a couple of tricks for doing it though - if interested let me know....

Mike your holster is awesome! very sharp
Swampy you did a great job I always check your holsters out like your work keep it up
