Just thought I would ask this....
Here in Mississippi when you have a modern hunting rifle or shotgun in your vehicle, you must have your ammo enclosed in a separate box or container.
A muzzleloader is considered unloaded if the cap is removed on a Percussion gun and no primer in the pan for a Flintlock. So my question is...... Do I need to store my caps or primer in a separate box when in a vehicle??

Any of you guys from other states are welcome to chime in too with your regulations.
Thanks

I'd say you can have the caps anywhere but on the nipple and the priming anywhere but in the pan.
I lived in Ms. for 19 yrs. and we carried ammo in our pocket or in the box it came in or any other way we wanted. For the current and correct info call the local game warden or the fish and game dept. they probably know as much about the rules as anyone.

If you have the caps in a tin and/or your prime in a horn or flask you're good to go.
If you come to Choctaw this year let me know.
