In-Line Contest

The target is a standard 8.5 x 11" sheet of printer paper with an X drawn thru the center.

Distance is 25 yards.

Shots are to be taken off-hand.

4 shots per target.

Targets with more than 4 holes will be disqualified. (Staple/tack holes and torn corners from tape are OK. )

All shots must be completely on the paper. Targets with shots that break the edge of the paper will be disqualified. If you hit the edge, get another sheet of paper and try again.

Smallest total score determines the winner.

Targets that have been mutilated will be disqualified.

All Muzzleloadingforum members are eligible to participate.

Members screen name must be written on their target.(So we know who won. )

One entry per member.

Multiple targets may be submitted in the same envelope to save postage if more than one member shoots in the same group.

Targets must be postmarked by May 1, 2010 to be eligible.

Targets received after May 10, 2010 will be disqualified.

Targets will not be returned unless an S.A.S.E. is included.

Good luck, have fun, and be safe! :hatsoff:

Jethro,

I know it's late in the evening but I've read the contest rules 3 times. We take 4 shots but what determines the smallest total score? Nearest the center of the target? And was "In-Line" just to get our attention? :hmm: I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop..........

Your a mean One!... Mr Swampy! :cursing:

Whoops, I must have forgotten to post part of the rules. :haha:
The changes are in red.

In-Line Contest

The object of the game is to shoot 4 separate shots, in as straight of a line as possible. The center of each of the two furthest apart shots will be each end of the line. Each of the other two shots will be measured from center to the line. Those two measurements will be added together for your score.

Ok, now the "in-line" thing makes more sense. Boy I thought Jethro had leaped over to the other side. :hmm: But instead he came up with another good match. Have to give this one a try.

See ya, Jim/OH :hatsoff:

After reading the first set of rules, I thought I was coming down with a case of lead poisoning from handling so much in the last contest! :cursing:

This one sounds fun! A little geometry, mixed with math and shootin'. Hopefully, this one can be done in less than 23 shots!

:shocked2: I thought it was like a post shoot, but we shoot at a in-line rifle instead of a 2x4 :idunno:
Wish i would have known sooner! :rotf: :rotf:

Just for grins when this one comes back around I may try to shoot in all three catagories providing I have enough lead! I am sure my shots
will go up when I pick up the smoothbore and pistol!
